I am in Colorado for the week doing agility with my dogs… so I thought I would have this post when I am gone. This is Tatum. She’s a smooth sable collie girl. I think she is just gorgeous. I love the smooths… yup, they are the same breed as Lassie, except the smooths have short hair. The roughs have the long hair like Lassie. You may see a lot of her on this blog. ;)

    Tatum is GORGEOUS. She’s a supermodel. So fit, perfectly proportioned. Eye candy! My neighbor had a smoothie that unfortunately was allowed to become extremely (morbidly) obese (just like the owner) and the poor dog’s head looked waaaay too small for the sausage-esque body. Now, Tatum is what a smooth collie is supposed to look like - the picture of athleticism and vigor. Good husbandry there!!

    Thanks Bonnie Story! Tatum is very pretty indeed… she is, actually, the product of a hoarder who let a lot of very good bred collies go crazy, 50 as a matter of fact, in her yard. So Tatum has some good lines in her, but is very undersocialized due to her first year of life. But she is coming along nicely and getting lots of fun things to do!

    That is sad about your neighbor’s overweight collie. That is so unhealthy!

    my cousin have a collie too, but she has a long hair like lassie, so i think all collie have a long hair… :) and now i knew that my cousin’s collie is a rough collie… :)
