Here is a border collie doing a nice box turn on the flyball box. As you can see, though, my shutter speed was not fast enough to stop the dog. The shutter speed 1/200 with an f-stop of 3.7. The ISO is 1600 again, in order to gather enough light.

I took some pictures last weekend at the flyball tournament in St. George, Utah. I was experimenting with different settings. It was indoors, and so I found that I had to have the aperature open quite wide and a fast shutter speed to stop the action. However, my lens isn’t quite good enough, and so I had to turn the ISO way up, to 1600. So with an f-stop of 4.5, shutter speed of 1/400, and an ISO of 1600, this is what I have. This is a smaller version, though. But if you blow it up you might see the graininess of the picture.

Flyball practice today… Apache fumbled the ball. I think it’s a cute picture. 1/1000 sec f 5.0 set on auto for sports action.

Apache has the most beautiful box turn. She is a doll, an Australian Cattle Dog and she runs on the Thunder Paws flyball team in Utah (yeah that’s my team).
And she is completely deaf.
